Phu Quoc Cable Car
A 15-minute ride of nearly 8 km across the sea, from Sunset Town to Hon Thom island over the islets of the An Thoi archipelago.
TicketsThe Phu Quoc Cable Car, officially the Hon Thom Cable Car, runs 7,900 m from An Thoi Station in Sunset Town, at the southern tip of Phu Quoc, to Hon Thom island. On the way it crosses open sea and passes over the islets of Hon Dua and Hon Roi. The ride takes 15 minutes each way.
The cable car holds the Guinness World Record for the longest non-stop three-rope cable car. The ticket also covers Aquatopia Water Park and Exotica Village at the island end.

Nearly 8 km of sea
Most of the line runs over water between Phu Quoc and Hon Thom, with the islands of the An Thoi archipelago spread below.
30-person cabins
Large three-rope cabins that sway only slightly as they pass the towers. Window seats give the best photos.
Afternoon light
Later in the afternoon the light over the islands turns softer and warmer than in the midday glare.

Two stations with nearly 8 km of sea between them. You board in Sunset Town; there is no stop on the islets in between.

Questions before you ride
Is the Phu Quoc cable car worth it?
If you want the sea views and a day at Aquatopia, yes: one ticket covers both. Plan 4 to 6 hours in all.
What time does the cable car run?
Roughly 09:00 to 11:30 and 13:30 to 17:00, with a daily maintenance stop in between. Times change with the season, so check on the day.
Can you get off at Hon Dua or Hon Roi?
No. Those are islets the cable passes over; the only stations are An Thoi and Hon Thom.
What should I bring?
Swimwear and a change of clothes for the water park, a hat and sunscreen. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, and you cannot re-enter once you leave.
Is it suitable for everyone?
It is not recommended for pregnant women, seniors or people with conditions such as high blood pressure or epilepsy. It is not stroller- or wheelchair-accessible.
When is it least busy?
Around 09:30 to 10:00, or after 15:30. Queues can be long just before and just after the midday break. On Vietnam's national holidays — Tet (Lunar New Year), 30 April and 1 May — it can be crowded all day.
Are Hon Thom's beaches open?
Parts of the island's beach area are under construction ahead of APEC 2027, so some beach spots may be closed when you visit.
